Paediatrician

We are currently seeking an experienced Consultant Paediatrician to join a leading major regional hospital located in one of Australia’s vibrant and rapidly growing regions. About the Role:

As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will lead and provide comprehensive paediatric services, managing both inpatient and outpatient care. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including junior medical staff, nurses, allied health professionals, and specialists to provide high-quality clinical care. You will also be involved in clinical teaching, mentoring, and training, helping to shape the next generation of paediatric professionals. The role includes participation in the hospital's clinical governance and policy development initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement of paediatric healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert paediatric care across a range of medical conditions.
• Lead the management of paediatric inpatients and outpatients.
• Mentor and support junior medical staff, including registrars and residents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of care.
• Actively participate in clinical governance, policy development, and quality improvement activities.

Requirements:

• Specialist registration with the AHPRA.
• Proven experience in general paediatrics and neonatal care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and teaching.
• Willingness to engage in a regional setting, with a passion for improving the health of children in the community.
