Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join a highly specialist Autism-focused school in Cricklewood, London. This setting supports pupils aged 7 to 16 years with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated conditions who have struggled to access education in both mainstream and other specialist settings.

The school offers a fully integrated therapeutic approach to education, providing a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes emotional well-being, communication, and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Assess, diagnose, and manage a caseload of pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), often alongside Autism and other co-occurring conditions.

Develop and deliver individualised therapy plans, in collaboration with educational and clinical colleagues.

Provide both direct and indirect therapy, including staff training and support to embed communication strategies across the school day.

Work closely with parents/carers and contribute to EHCP reviews and multi-disciplinary team meetings.

Maintain clear and accurate clinical documentation, following best practice and safeguarding protocols.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you will need:

A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).

Current HCPC registration and eligibility for RCSLT membership.

Previous experience working in SEN school settings, ideally with a focus on ASC.

A strong understanding of neurodiversity and the importance of integrated therapeutic approaches in education.
