PACU RN (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

Location: Panama City, FL

Schedule: Mixed 10-hour shifts (examples: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM)

Pay Range: $26.40 – $39.60/hr (based on experience)

Bonuses:

• Sign-on bonus: $15,000

• Shift differential: $2.50 after 3:00 PM

• On-call pay: $4/hour

• Relocation assistance: Offered on a case-by-case basis

As a PACU RN, you’ll play a vital role in helping patients safely transition from surgery to recovery. You'll monitor patients post-anesthesia, manage complex clinical needs, and provide compassionate, high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver focused, patient-centered nursing care in the post-anesthesia phase

• Monitor airway, cardiac, and neurological status following surgery

• Identify and respond to potential complications with clinical judgment

• Collaborate closely with the surgical and anesthesia teams

• Provide patient education and emotional support during recovery

• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to care planning

• Fulfill on-call responsibilities (must reside within 30 minutes of facility)

• 1+ year recent PACU RN experience in an acute care setting (required)

• ICU/Critical Care experience highly preferred

• Active Florida RN license (or multistate compact license)

• BLS (within 30 days of hire); ACLS and PALS (within 60 days)

• Associate Degree or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
