About the role:

We are looking for an organised and committed Packing Team Lead to join our team at our warehouse in Leamington Spa. This exciting role will play a pivotal part in the continued success of our brands. As a Packing Team Lead, you will be managing a team of Packers on a production line, ensuring volume, speed and accuracy targets are met. The role involves ensuring the safe handling of MedExpress products as well as GLP1 weight loss medication, ice packs (as this is a refrigerated drug) and sharps boxes.

If you enjoy working cross-departmentally and are a self-starter with strong communication skills this role would suit you perfectly.

This is a full-time, permanent role, based on site in our Leamington Spa warehouse. Shifts will be on 4 days on & 4 days off schedule, between the hours of 9am-9pm.

What you'll be doing in the role:

• Manage staff rota for dispatch and non-dispatch activities, arranging temporary cover for leave and seasonal peaks in activity.

• Daily standup meetings to celebrate success and relay performance goals.

• Ensure all staff complete training and understand SOPs

• Communicate clearly with teams to clarify duties and responsibilities

• Promptly resolve issues and escalate to the Responsible Pharmacist and Site Manager when necessary

• Train, mentor and inspire both new and existing direct reports

• Conduct 1-1 and performance reviews with direct reports

• Verify and approve invoice details for agencies, locums and contractors and relay staff overtime to HR

Fulfilment and Operations

• Ensuring the on time dispatch of all packages while maintaining safety and cost control targets are met.

• Optimising the workspace and current workflow to maximise efficiency

• Work to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

• Coordinate with delivery service providers to optimise collection times and volumes

• Establish productivity targets for staff and evaluate performance accordingly

• Meet quality targets and strive for zero picking / dispatch errors.

• Ensure stock integrity and control across storage and pick locations, supporting stock counts as required.

• Maintain workplace cleanliness and area readiness.

• Shift handovers to counterparts.

• Act as a keyholder responsible for the site lock-up and opening (once probation is completed).

What you'll bring to the role:

• Experience leading medium sized teams in a similar ecommerce environment.

• Ability to plan, prioritise and organise effectively.

• Able to thrive under deadlines and deliver results.

• Proficient in Excel for report creation and data-driven decision-making.

• Strong leadership and team motivation abilities.

• Clear and concise communication, problem-solving and time management skills.

• An understanding of business rationales and the ability to initiate and implement decisions that will achieve business goals.
