POSITION SUMMARY
The Packaging Operator is responsible for packaging the final product, setting up the packaging line and packaging machines to name a few everyday duties. This position is US-based, no relocation pack will be offered.
KEY JOB DUTIES
Checking in material for bottling runs using bottling pull sheet.
Reconciling bottling runs using bottling pull sheet.
Setting up and operating the following equipment: bottle unscrambler, desiccant inserter, slat counter machine, and cotton inserter.
Setting up and operating the metal detector, capper, and heat induction sealer.
Setting up and operating the labeler, neck banding machine, and check weigher.
Perform all in-process quality control checks during packaging runs.
Interface /communicate with Packaging Supervisor and Packaging Leads daily.
Able to perform some maintenance on the packaging equipment.
Clean machinery and equipment in a safe manner, able to perform lockout/tagout on equipment.
Suggest ways to improve productivity and efficiencies.
Able to complete daily processing paperwork in a neat & accurate manner. Able to perform basic math calculations with a calculator.
And of course, other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
High school diploma or GED
Operator, production, and manufacturing experience a huge plus!
Maintain good attendance.
Ability to effectively communicate (speak, write and understand) in English with the department and company as needed.
Must be able to work in a variety of conditions: noise, dust, heavy lifting, repetitive motion, standing for long periods of time. Must be able to recognize audible hazards.
Must be able to pass a background check
