The objective of this job is to manage and lead the day-to-day operations of all packaging.
This will include Picking/Issuing Stock, Goods in, Stock Management, Transport and Quality.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The role takes on full ownership and responsibility for all Retail Packaging as a whole, this includes day-to-day pick & returns of all retail packaging to operational lines.
· Following packaging guidelines; - Issuing and receipting all packaging items through Emydex.
· Issuing stock daily to production and returning any unused stock back to retail stock after production.
· Ensuring accuracy of figures and ensuring there is no waste.
· In charge of all stock call-offs from External Storage and recording all movements between two.
· Assisting operations with all packaging requirements for both shifts.
· Responsible for stocktakes on and off site.
· Weekly full stocktake on ALL items.
· Coordinate with purchasing with regards to incoming deliveries.
· Receiving of materials/goods and/or supplies (both physical receipt and input into procurement/inventory management system)
· Checking incoming and outgoing freight documents to match expected intakes.
· Advise purchasing of any problems with deliveries especially incorrect items or shorts.
· Maintain pro-active communication/relationship with Purchasing and Production teams
· Liaise with Material Planner on discrepancies, problems or non-performance or non-observance.
Manage a team of 3 people
Maintain High standard of Health & Safety, hygiene and security and ensure good housekeeping, bins emptied daily, cardboard recycled, shelving wiped ETC.
Ensure efficient utilisation of stock room area.
