About the Role

As a Packaging Designer at Liquid Death you will play a critical role as part of a 6 person design team in bringing our brand to life across every physical touchpoint. This role owns the end-to-end packaging design process for all categories in the Liquid Death portfolio—including new launches, innovation, limited-time offerings, and variety packs—across cans, cartons, trays, and more. From initial concept through final production, the Packaging Designer ensures every design is premium, functional, on-brand, and execution-ready, managing dielines, proofs, 3D renders, and print delivery with precision. Working closely with Marketing, Product Development, and cross-functional partners, this role continuously evolves our packaging design systems and processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and impact, while also supporting packaging needs for marketing campaigns and merch beyond our core beverage portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop packaging design concepts for all categories within the LD portfolio. New Launches, Innovation, LTOs, Variety Packs. Cans, Cartons, Trays and more

• Manage the entire packaging design process, from initial concept through to final production on designated die-lines, print delivery, digital or printed proofs and 3D renders

• Continuously evaluate, improve and update existing packaging design and its process to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and consistency

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development to ensure packaging design aligns with brand standards and meets functional requirements

• Support all packaging projects outside of LD bev (Marketing Campaigns and/or Merch)

Qualifications Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field preferred

• A minimum of 5 years of relatable packaging design experience, with a strong focus on consumer packaged goods

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite required, 3D modeling software preferred

• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Knowledge of packaging production processes, legal regulations, materials, and sustainability best practices

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams as well as possess excellent organizational and time-management skills

• A strong portfolio that demonstrates a passion for packaging design and innovation

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Willingness to work west coast hours

• Willingness to travel up to 10%

The typical salary range for this position is: $110,000 - $125,000
