POSITION OPENING
PAC COORDINATOR/DIRECTOR (PERFORMING ARTS CENTER) +
In early August 2026, our brand-new, state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center, aka The PAC, will open, and we are seeking a dynamic leader to help bring this exciting space to life for our students and community. Hemlock Public School District, located in Hemlock, serves nearly 1,300 students and is known for strong academics, community support, and a growing K-12 fine arts program that includes band, theater, and visual arts.
The Performing Arts Coordinator/Director will play a key role in launching the new center, overseeing scheduling and events, and collaborating with staff, students, and community partners to expand performance opportunities and establish the Performing Arts Center as a vibrant cultural hub for the Hemlock community and the surrounding region. The successful candidate will meet the required qualifications, be able to perform the position as outlined below, and bring an additional skill set to the position.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to pass a background check.
Prompt and courteous customer service practices.
Ability to interact positively with all school stakeholders, including students, parents, community members, staff, and administration.
Demonstrate strong organizational and scheduling skills for facility and event coordination.
Ability to develop, compose, manage, edit, and print documents using Google Suite applications.
Demonstrate proficiency with Google Calendar and shared scheduling systems.
Demonstrate computer skills with various software programs and the knowledge of or ability to learn Skyward and other district systems.
Demonstrate knowledge of basic financial tracking and spreadsheet programs.
Ability to coordinate events and communicate effectively with internal and external groups.
High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.
Experience with event management, performing arts programs, or facility scheduling preferred.
Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:
Coordinate scheduling and use of the Performing Arts Center for school and community events.
Serve as the primary point of contact for PAC rentals, performances, rehearsals, and school events.
Maintain the PAC master calendar and coordinate logistics with staff, custodial, and technical teams.
Communicate event details with directors, staff, and community organizations using district communication tools.
Assist with coordinating technical needs, including lighting, sound, and stage setup, with the appropriate staff.
Manage PAC event documentation, agreements, and related correspondence.
Track PAC-related financial transactions, including rental fees and organizational accounts, as assigned.
Support school performing arts programs, concerts, assemblies, and special events.
Maintain records and documentation related to PAC usage and scheduling.
Provide general office and reception support related to PAC activities.
Assist with promoting and communicating PAC events through district platforms.
Other duties as assigned.
Compensation: Negotiated based on experience, education, and skill set.
