We are seeking a highly analytical and business-driven P&L Manager – Category Lead to own the end-to-end financial performance of a product/category line. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong commercial acumen with data-driven decision-making and has a proven ability to drive revenue growth while optimizing costs. You will be responsible for managing the complete profit and loss lifecycle, from strategy and planning to execution and performance tracking.

Key Responsibilities
P&L Ownership & Financial Performance
• Own and manage the complete P&L for the assigned category, including revenue, margins, costs, and profitability.
• Develop and execute strategies to maximize topline growth while maintaining healthy margins.
• Monitor financial performance on a daily/weekly/monthly basis and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives across sourcing, operations, and marketing without compromising growth.
Category Strategy & Growth
• Define category vision, growth roadmap, and business plans aligned with overall company objectives.
• Identify new opportunities for expansion, product mix optimization, and revenue diversification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, supply chain, operations, and product) to drive category success.
Data-Driven Decision Making
• Leverage data analytics to understand customer behavior, pricing trends, and demand patterns.
• Build and maintain dashboards to track key business metrics such as contribution margin, CAC, LTV, and inventory turnover.
• Use insights to drive pricing strategies, promotional planning, and assortment decisions.
Pricing & Margin Optimization
• Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
• Continuously evaluate cost structures and supplier negotiations to improve margins.
• Analyze competitive landscape and ensure category competitiveness in the market.
Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
• Work closely with supply chain teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize stockouts or overstocking.
• Improve working capital efficiency through better demand forecasting and inventory planning.
Stakeholder Management
• Collaborate with senior leadership to present business performance, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.
• Align cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of category initiatives.
Requirements
• 3–7 years of experience in P&L management, category management, business finance, or strategy roles.
• Strong understanding of financial metrics, unit economics, and business drivers.
• Proven track record of owning revenue targets and driving profitability.
• Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or data visualization tools.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in e-commerce, consumer businesses, or high-growth startups is a plus.
