Qualifications
The following are required or preferred unless otherwise noted:
Prior supervisory or management experience
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Strong customer service skills
Experience managing a team of 10 or more employees
Experience with floor care, including stripping and waxing, required
Prior custodial or janitorial experience required.
Ability to pass a department of defense background check
Availability to work overnights
Key Responsibilities
The Custodial Manager will perform and/or oversee the following:
Assign daily custodial tasks to team members
Supervise employees performing cleaning and sanitation duties to ensure quality standards are met
Monitor workflow and productivity to ensure all work is completed within required timeframes
Conduct quality control inspections and ensure corrective actions are taken when needed
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and all applicable regulations
Oversee health and safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer representatives and address any concerns or requests
Respond to and document employee incidents, accidents, and emergencies appropriately
Handle employee concerns and promote a positive, respectful work environment
Complete required reports, documentation, and end-of-day processes
Lead by example by actively participating in custodial duties
Motivate and support team members through a strong, hands-on leadership approach
