Synergy Companies has been a leader in the energy efficiency industry for over 41 years. We partner with major utility companies such as SDG&E, SoCalGas, and others to serve our communities by delivering the best programs available to help families make their homes more energy efficient.
We are currently looking for motivated, driven Outreach Sales Representatives to join our Residential Energy Solutions (RES) team. In this role, you’ll help residents participate in utility-funded programs that improve comfort, lower energy bills, and increase energy efficiency - all at no cost to the customer.
Your Role & Impact
And to be clear — you are not selling anything.
You will be helping residents enroll in a free utility-funded program that provides no-cost measures such as:
No-Cost A/C Tune-Ups
Smart Fan Controllers
Water-Efficient Showerheads
Water Heater Pipe Wrap
And other energy-saving upgrades

Your role is simply to connect people with programs that already exist to help them save money and live more comfortably. You will engage directly with the community, building trust through a door-to-door outreach approach. To support your success, you will be provided with co-branded flyers from Synergy and SDG&E, along with full training, scripts, and team support. We are here to set you up for success!
What You’ll Do in This Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Canvassing assigned communities and scheduling appointments for your assigned technician
Engaging with the community and building trust through door-to-door outreach
Educating residents on available utility programs and benefits
Building long-term relationships with customers
Working closely with your assigned technician and manager
Familiar with Google Sheets (training will be provided if needed)
Attending bi-weekly training sessions to sharpen your skills

Fluency in multiple languages is a plus
No prior utility experience is required — we provide full training.
Compensation & Benefits
Estimated Yearly Income: $65,000 – $100,000
(Combination of hourly pay + commission)
Performance bonuses
