Position Summary:
The Outpatient Clinical Nurse & Front Office Receptionist will play a dual role in providing both clinical and administrative support in a new clinical provider. This position involves working with diverse patient populations, including family practice (some peds), behavioral health, and substance treatment. The role will initially focus on both front and mid-office responsibilities, transitioning to more clinical duties as patient volume increases.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Nursing Duties:
Perform blood draws and specimen collection.
Record patient vitals and conduct patient triage.
Room patients and prepare them for consultations.
Assist with patient callbacks, referrals, and prior-authorizations.
Monitor quality measures and coordinate with other providers' schedules.
Run KAPSER reports and maintain daily logs.
Manage inventory for injections and medical management.
Front Office Reception Duties:
Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a welcoming environment.
Schedule appointments and manage the provider's calendar.
Handle patient inquiries and provide information about services.
Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
Assist with billing and insurance verification as needed.
Qualifications:
Valid nursing license (or Medical Certification*) and relevant clinical experience.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
