OUT Next Top Talent is a 3-day event for you to learn the ins and OUTs of our Actuarial & Analytics department. It is also a contest - you will be assigned topics and have the opportunity to pitch your ideas to a panel of our senior leadership, possibly securing you prize money and a job offer for employment in 2026.

How do you get IN?

You need to be studying towards an Honours or Masters Degree in either Actuarial Science or a Data Science related field (Statistics, Maths etc.) in 2026.

You need to have an interest in the world of data science, modelling of actuarial and/or operational concepts and creating solutions to real-world business problems.

What do you get OUT?                                                              

• Cash of R3,000 for participation - no strings attached!
• If selected for participation, further prizes of up to R7,000 are up for grabs. This means the stand-OUT participant will walk away from the event with R10,000 in cash!
• The possibility of a job offer to start work in 2026

Participate in an on-site contest that includes:                                    

• Engaging with the actuarial and analytics teams to gain insight into what it takes to run a top insurance company.
• Experiencing the vibrant OUTsurance culture.
• Exam tips and techniques session from those who have been there and done that.
