AlphaHire is recruiting on behalf of a client seeking an Orthotics and Prosthetics Technician in Meadville, PA. This role supports the clinical team by fabricating, assembling, and maintaining custom orthotic and prosthetic devices that help patients improve mobility and daily function.
The technician will work within a collaborative clinical environment, assisting with device preparation, adjustments, and repairs while maintaining high standards for craftsmanship, safety, and efficiency. This position is well suited for individuals who enjoy hands-on technical work in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
• Fabricate, assemble, and modify orthotic and prosthetic devices based on clinician specifications
• Assist clinicians with device preparation, adjustments, and repairs
• Prepare molds, casts, and materials used in the fabrication of patient devices
• Operate fabrication equipment and tools used in orthotics and prosthetics labs
• Maintain accurate documentation related to device fabrication and repairs
• Ensure devices meet quality, safety, and functional performance standards
• Maintain an organized and compliant laboratory environment
• Support inventory management for fabrication materials and components
• Collaborate with clinicians and staff to ensure timely completion of patient devices
Requirements:
• Experience in orthotics and prosthetics fabrication, medical device production, or a related technical field
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with specialized tools and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical instructions or device specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Ability to work in a team-based clinical environment
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Ability to lift and handle fabrication materials and equipment when required
