Job Title: Orthopedic Physician Assistant

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of clinical experience and a passion for orthopedic care. This position involves a combination of surgical support in the Operating Room (OR) and patient care during office hours at our New Jersey locations. The role requires excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in orthopedic surgeries, including pre-operative preparation, intra-operative support, and post-operative care.
Perform patient evaluations, including histories and physicals, and assist in developing treatment plans.
Conduct office-based consultations, assessments, and follow-up care for patients with orthopedic conditions.
Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Provide patient education regarding procedures, treatment options, and rehabilitation protocols.
Review diagnostic images (e.g., X-rays, MRIs) and lab results to assist in decision-making.
Participate in rounds and contribute to patient care plans.
Manage pre-operative and post-operative documentation.
Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients throughout their treatment journey.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant.
Preferred: Previous experience in orthopedic surgery.
Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of New Jersey.
Active New Jersey license and DEA number required.
NCCPA certification required.
Strong knowledge of orthopedic procedures, musculoskeletal anatomy, and related treatments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule, including possible call shifts.
