Job Description
Ordering Lead
Do you do your best work behind the scenes — where precision, judgment, and accuracy matter the most?
At Renewal by Andersen of British Columbia, the quality of our manufacturing starts long before anything reaches the factory floor. We’re hiring an experienced Order Management Specialist to ensure every order released to manufacturing is complete, accurate, and built to standard.
This role is foundational to keeping lead times low and preventing costly errors. It’s designed for someone who prefers depth over noise, thinks critically about details, and takes pride in catching issues before they ever become problems.
This is not an entry-level role and not a customer-facing position. It’s a role for someone who values focus, ownership, and doing things properly.
The Role
As our Order Management Specialist, you will be responsible for the integrity of orders before they move into manufacturing.
You’ll work quietly but centrally within the operation — reviewing information, validating specifications, connecting inputs across systems, and coordinating internally to ensure accuracy. While others may move quickly to the next step, your role is to make sure the right step is being taken.
You’ll be trusted to apply judgment, slow things down when needed, and hold a consistently high standard for quality.
What You’ll Do
Own order accuracy prior to manufacturing release
Review orders critically, validating measurements, configurations, specifications, and requirements
Identify inconsistencies, gaps, or risks and resolve them before orders move forward
Ensure orders meet internal standards for manufacturing, scheduling, and delivery
Maintain clean, accurate documentation across internal systems
Monitor order flow and flag issues early to protect timelines and costs
Identify recurring issues and contribute to process improvements that reduce errors
Who This Role Is Built For
This role is well-suited to someone who:
Is highly detail-oriented and naturally thorough
Prefers focused, independent work with clear accountability
Thinks critically about information instead of accepting it at face value
Takes pride in accuracy and consistency
Communicates clearly and professionally, without needing to be front-facing
Understands the downstream impact of upstream decisions
Experience We’re Looking For
Experience in order management, operations, manufacturing support, or a similar environment
Comfort working with technical detail, specifications, and structured data
Strong system aptitude (ERP/CRM, Excel, internal tools)
Experience in manufacturing, construction, or building products is an asset
Why This Role Matters
This role protects the business from avoidable mistakes. The work you do here directly influences lead times, costs, and operational efficiency — even if it happens out of sight.
If you value precision, accountability, and quiet impact over constant interaction, this is a role where your strengths will be recognized and relied upon.
Ready to Apply
If this sounds like the kind of role where you do your best work, we’d like to hear from you.
