Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and execution-focused Order Management Specialist to support a fast-growing business segment.
This role currently involves high-touch order processing with limited automation, requiring strong coordination, data accuracy, and cross-functional follow-ups. As part of an ongoing transition, key accounts are moving toward EDI and enhanced system support. This role is critical to ensure smooth day-to-day operations while supporting the transition to a more automated model.
This is a temp-to-perm role, with potential conversion based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Support customer order processing in a high-touch operational environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Maintain order tracking files and ensure close monitoring and timely updates
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Planning, Logistics, Finance) to support order execution, including reviewing and validating key order information (pricing, quantities, shipping details), and following up on approvals, order status, and issue resolution to ensure timely processing
Create, update, and maintain SAP records in alignment with customer POs and order execution requirements, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across ERP, logistics, and information flows
Manage high-volume email communication and coordination across multiple stakeholders
Support urgent and time-sensitive orders with tight turnaround requirements
Support ad hoc order-related data reporting requests
Adapt to evolving processes and system enhancements as part of ongoing automation and EDI rollout
Work Environment & Complexity
High-touch workflow with evolving system support and EDI rollout in progress
Mix of manual coordination and system-driven processing depending on customer and order type
High volume of orders requiring cross-functional follow-up
Fast-paced environment with strong emphasis on accuracy, ownership, and responsiveness
Ongoing process improvements and workflow changes as the business continues to grow
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
1–3 years of experience in operations, order management, supply chain, retail operations, or similar hands-on roles
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume, repetitive tasks with accuracy
Comfortable working in a process-driven, high-volume environment
Strong organizational and follow-up skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Effective communication skills across cross-functional teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (tracking, data handling)
SAP or similar ERP experience is a plus
