Job Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Oracle MFCS Techno-Functional Consultant who possesses strong functional knowledge of retail merchandising along with robust technical capabilities to assist in Oracle Retail MFCS SaaS implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and production support.
The consultant will collaborate closely with business users, product owners, and technical teams to deliver scalable, high-quality retail solutions to global retail clients.

Key Responsibilities
Functional Responsibilities
• Serve as a Techno-Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oracle MFCS (RMS Cloud) throughout implementation, upgrade, and support projects
• Lead and support fundamental merchandising processes including:
o Item & Merchandise Hierarchy
o Supplier & Costing
o Pricing & Promotions
o Purchase Orders, Transfers, Allocations
o Inventory & Stock Ledger
• Conduct functional analysis, develop solution designs, and map requirements with business stakeholders
• Facilitate fit-gap analyses, configuration activities, and solution walkthroughs with client teams
• Assist with data migration and validation (including items, suppliers, prices, inventory, and stock ledger)
• Manage functional testing cycles, including SIT, UAT, regression, and production validations
• Support integration testing with upstream and downstream systems such as Finance, Supply Chain, POS, and WMS
• Provide production support, analyze incidents, and perform root cause analysis within a SaaS environment
Technical Responsibilities
• Demonstrate strong practical experience in:
o PL/SQL, Oracle SQL
o Customizations on Retail Data Stores
o Unix / Shell scripting
o Monitoring and troubleshooting batch jobs in Retail SaaS
o Debugging and supporting retail batch programs
o Resolving data, performance, and reconciliation issues
• Utilize REST APIs and Retail Integration Bus (RIB) or RIB-based integrations where applicable
• Support MFCS extensions, configurations, and customizations (knowledge of ADF/Java is advantageous)
• Experience working within Oracle Retail SaaS and OCI Cloud environments
Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory
• A minimum of 10 years IT experience with a strong focus on Oracle Retail
• At least 8 years of experience with Oracle MFCS / RMS
• In-depth retail domain knowledge in Merchandising and Inventory
• Techno-functional proficiency combining business process understanding with SQL/PLSQL skills
• Experience in Oracle Retail SaaS (MFCS Cloud) implementations or support engagements
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
Good to Have
• Familiarity with other Oracle Retail modules such as:
o ReIM, RPM, ReSA, Allocation, SIM, AICS
• Experience in Oracle Retail upgrades (from on-premises to SaaS or version upgrades)
• Exposure to Agile and SAFe delivery methodologies
• Oracle Retail or OCI certifications
• Experience collaborating with multi-shore teams
• Background working with global retail clients across regions such as the US, UK, EU, and APAC
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
• MBA or retail domain certification is considered an advantage
Soft Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in client-facing communication and presentations
• Capable of working independently within complex retail environments
• Comfortable operating in multi-vendor and multi-geography settings
