We are excited to expand our tech centres of excellence in India, by building a new global centre, right here in the heart of Hyderabad.

Role Profile

Join our Oracle CoE team as an Oracle Cloud EDMCS Senior Functional Consultant, supporting our Finance Transformation program at LSEG, which aims to centralise our financial operations into a single cloud-based Oracle Fusion platform.

Working in a fast paced and dynamic team, this role is pivotal in managing and operating master data using Oracle Enterprise Data Management Cloud Service (EDMCS), ensuring high quality data management practices that support the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance function.

You will partner with the Finance Team to implement and maintain the company standard Master Data used in all financial reporting, both external and internal.

Tech Profile/Essential Skills

• A minimum of five years’ experience in Master Data Management and configuration with 2 – 3 years specialising in Oracle EDMCS or similar, directly supporting Finance functions
• Hands on experience designing master data to fit business requirements, configuring and updating master data, owning the EDMCS configuration workbook and master data workflows, managing the Chart Of Accounts Segment hierarchies and other critical structures and maintaining system integrity through patching, user access management and other activities.
• Proficient in master data validations, migration of master data structures across environments and successfully integrating master data with target applications inside and outside the Oracle Cloud platform.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Hands on experience with Oracle DRM, SAP MDG or other master data management platforms is beneficial.
• Functional knowledge of Oracle Financial Consolidation & Close (FCCS), Oracle Planning & Budgeting (PBCS), Oracle Fusion ERP and other Oracle modules is highly desirable.
• Experience using the Agile framework within a large organisation.
• Advanced problem-solving skills, able to tackle master data configuration and platform integration challenges.
• Naturally inquisitive, providing creative solutions and different perspectives
• Confident in managing key stakeholders to drive business outcomes based on industry best practices for master data design.

Education and Professional Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in either Business Studies, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Professional qualifications that complement the technical demands of the role, especially Oracle certification, evidence of in-depth training.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to engage effectively with diverse internal teams in multiple time zones, enabling multiple projects and effectively prioritizing tasks
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Work with the Finance Master Data (FMD) team to understand their master data needs, aligning data management practices with overall business objectives and complying with internal and regulatory standards.
• Configure Finance master data, enabling FMD to create and maintain core business dimensions in Oracle EDMCS, including the Chart of Accounts and other critical Master Data structures.
• Maintain the EDMCS Configuration Workbook, managing details of Environments, Applications, Dimensions and Properties.
• Run monthly maintenance activities including patching, approvals, workflow management, security and user access, roles and user rights assignments, dimensions, groups and properties updates, subscriptions and master data migrations across environments
• Standardise and automate processes and validations to improve efficiency and reduce potential errors using expression builders, other standard tools and complex scripting
• Integrate EDMCS with other Finance systems (including FCCS, PBCS & ERP) to ensure seamless data flows
• Develop and run exception reports, highlighting discrepancies and changes across different data versions to ensure master data accuracy and compliance.
