Job Description
Clearwater Municipal Services is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Operator to join our underground rehabilitation team specializing in Spray-in-Place Pipe Lining (SIPP), culvert rehabilitation, and manhole restoration projects throughout Ontario. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, the successful candidate will be signed with LiUNA Local 183.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate commercial vehicles and rehabilitation equipment safely and efficiently
Assist with Spray-in-Place Pipe Lining (SIPP) operations for culverts, sewers, and manholes
Perform preparation work including pressure washing, debris removal, cleaning, grinding, and surface preparation
Operate pumps, compressors, spray systems, vacuum equipment, and support tools
Perform routine vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure safe operation
Maintain accurate driver logs and documentation in compliance with company policies
Perform labouring duties throughout the shift in various weather and site conditions
Follow all company safety procedures, confined space protocols, and traffic laws
Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and project managers
Travel to project sites throughout Ontario as required
Requirements:
Valid AZ or DZ driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract and CVOR
Must be physically capable of performing labour-intensive work throughout the day
Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
Experience with plural component spray equipment, exposure to spray applied products, culvert/manhole preparation, underground rehabilitation, or related municipal infrastructure work is considered an asset
Experience operating commercial trucks, industrial equipment, vacuum systems, or pressure washing equipment is considered an asset
Confined Space, Working at Heights, and Traffic Control certifications are considered assets
What We Offer:
Starting at $37.00/hour
Monday to Friday schedule
Day shift, with occasional night shifts and weekends when required
10+ hour shifts
Overtime opportunities
30–40% out-of-town work
