Operator / Packer

Summary:

Inspect the quality of plastic containers and pack them. Maintain supplies levels and conditions on the machine.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform visual inspection of finished products (plastic containers) and ensure the quality is according to the standards required.

Maintain required supplies at the machines in a good level and good condition to keep it producing flawlessly.

Pack finished product accordingly.

Communicate issues to the Team Leader/Technician.

Records appropriate production forms.

Keep the work environment area clean and safe.

Other duties as assigned by the Team Leader/Management.

Work Schedule

1st shift: 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM

2nd shift: 02:45 PM - 11:15 PM

3rd shift: 10:45 PM - 07:15 AM

Overtime available, not mandatory

Educations and/or Experience & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Prior line packer experience.

Ability to read, analyze, and follow directions. Must be able to speak, listen, and openly communicate with team members and actively participate in team meetings.

Must be able to work in a self-directed team environment.

Ability to define and react to problems, color variations, small imperfections, collects data, establish facts, and draw a valid conclusion and decision during a fairly fast pace production level.

Requirements:

Lift up to 40 lbs. on a frequent basis

Push or pull with up to 50 lbs. of force on an occasional basis

Stoop, kneel, climb or squat on an occasional basis

Use hands to grip, pinch, handle, reach, or feel on a frequent basis

Stand on a continuous basis and walk on a frequent basis

Possess manual dexterity

Detail-oriented, well organized with a demonstrated ability to multitask and work well under pressure.

Must be able to work in a self-directed team environment

Requirements are tied shoes, long pants, lab coats and hair nets. Hair net and lab coat are provided.
