Join Our Team as an Operator based in Whitford, Auckland.
We’re on the lookout for a skilled and safety-focused Operator to join our dynamic Joint Venture landfill team based near Whitford, Auckland. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity where you’ll take the wheel (literally) and operate heavy machinery. 
What You’ll Be Doing
As part of a small hardworking crew, your role will be hands-on, outdoors, and varied making a real impact every day. You’ll work closely with the wider landfill operational team and management.
Key responsibilities include:
• Efficiently operate and manage a variety of heavy machinery, including compactors, excavators, dump trucks, bulldozers, and water trucks.
• Manage the placement of waste on-site with a high level of accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
• Perform excavation tasks and transport soil, gravel, and other materials to designated areas for compaction and waste coverage.
• Interact with drivers and site personnel to ensure full compliance with all health and safety protocols.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work environment at all times.
• Maintaining and operating an extensive irrigation network.
• Various hands-on work, taking readings, checking systems and routine preventative maintenance tasks
• Ensuring compliance with a comprehensive monitoring program.
You'll need:
• Clean and valid Class 1 and Class 2 Full Drivers Licence
• Wheels, Tracks and Rollers Licence is essential 
• Proven experience in operating heavy earthmoving equipment
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of workplace Health and Safety practices
• A strong mechanical aptitude for daily checks and minor maintenance
• Accurately record data, actively communicate and work with a wide variety of other staff
• Land management industry knowledge is a bonus
• Problem solving initiative
• Site Safe certification (a bonus, but not essential)
• The ability to work independently and contribute to a close-knit team

• Monday - Friday with alternating Saturdays (Rostered)
