Operations Technology Project Manager

The Role

As an Operations Technology Project Manager, you will act as the central bridge between our Distribution Center (Operations) and our Software/Product teams. You will lead hands-on projects that improve how we work - both on-site and through internal systems.

This role owns the end-to-end improvement of our operations environment: from workflows and workstations to system changes that support receiving, processing, and shipping items. You combine an engineering mindset for physical workplaces with a strong understanding of software systems, translating operational needs into structured projects and ensuring seamless execution across teams and locations.

What You'll Do

Operations Projects

Lead Distribution Center improvement projects across workflows, workstations, layouts, and supporting infrastructure.

Plan and execute workstation redesigns, relocations, and space optimization with ergonomics and safety in mind.

Serve as the main point of contact for on-site operational needs and constraints.

AI-Driven Process Transformation

Own operational rollout of AI-based solutions and redesign end-to-end processes to integrate AI, human review, and exceptions.

Ensure AI-driven changes improve quality and consistency without disrupting live operations.

Manage pilots, phased rollouts, and parallel runs, and identify opportunities to further improve implemented AI solutions.

Systems & Software Collaboration

Collect and translate operational and product requirements into clear system and project scope.

Partner with Software/Product teams on solution design, testing, rollout, and adoption.

Ensure system changes align with real operational workflows and constraints.

Project Management & Delivery

Own end-to-end delivery of operational and system initiatives (scope, timeline, budget, quality).

Create and manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and change requests.

Provide structured status reporting to stakeholders.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Act as a coordination layer between Distribution Center Operations, Software/Product teams, and external contractors.

Organize UAT, training, and cutover activities.

Naturally “speak both languages” - operational and technical - ensuring no loss of context between teams.

What You'll Need

Professional Experience

3–6+ years of project management experience, ideally in logistics, supply chain, warehouse, or industrial environments.

Experience leading cross-functional projects spanning physical operations and software systems.

Strong understanding of how software systems are designed and deployed.

Engineering background or hands-on engineering experience is a strong advantage.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong systems-thinking and end-to-end process design mindset.

Comfortable discussing technical concepts with engineers.

Clear and pragmatic documentation skills.

Hands-on problem solver with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Confidence to challenge assumptions and drive decisions.

Nice to have

Exposure to automation or AI-driven operational workflows.
