Job Description:
The Operations Superintendent is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling production strategies, projects, activities, and resources. This role ensures optimal productivity, efficiency, quality, and compliance by effectively supervising assigned personnel and maintaining adherence to internal policies and external regulatory standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with established internal rules, policies, and procedures.
Coordinate, define, and monitor daily and long-term production plans.
Develop and maintain controls and reporting systems to reduce cycle time, increase throughput, and improve product quality.
Manage production operations and prepare daily and monthly reports detailing production output, quality, cost, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Operations or Plant Manager.
Lead and support issue resolution using appropriate quality and continuous improvement tools.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through optimized processes, procedures, and workflows.
Participate in root cause analysis teams and ensure effective follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.
Supervise, coach, and monitor the performance of staff and work teams.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Ensure full compliance with applicable ISO, OSHA, and safety standards.
Who You Are:
3–5 years of progressive manufacturing or refurbishment leadership experience in a processing or manufacturing environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven leadership and experience related to capacity planning, material flow, plant performance, and reporting.
Hands-on leadership style with willingness to be directly involved on the production floor.
Strong background in business operations, quality systems, continuous improvement, process development, and program management.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to build, expand, and maintain trust with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Strong leadership, mentoring, verbal communication, and team-building skills.
Demonstrates sound judgment, strong professional ethics, and the ability to make timely, effective decisions.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee may be required to:
Walk or stand for extended periods of time.
Remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
Perform repetitive hand, finger, or wrist motions when using tools or electronic devices.
Reach, bend, or stoop as necessary.
Lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.
