Job Title: Operations Specialist (Data Analyst, App Operations, Email Marketing)
Job Type: Full-time / Remote

Job Overview:
We’re helping our client find an Operations Specialist who is highly analytical, deeply technical, and comfortable owning the intersection of data analytics, app operations, lifecycle marketing/CRM, and finance. In this role, you will be a go-to operator for pulling and analyzing data across multiple sources, translating insights into action, and helping optimize how app and marketing systems run day-to-day while supporting reporting and special technical projects across departments.
You don’t need to be a software developer, but you must be very tech-forward, an SQL expert, and able to work confidently across different databases, tools, and platforms.
Responsibilities:
Data Analytics + Business Insights
• Pull, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to drive decision-making across the business
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract insights and create reporting structures
• Build dashboards, metrics, and recurring reporting (funnels, cohorts, retention, CAC/LTV, conversion, churn, etc.)
• Identify trends and opportunities, and recommend data-driven improvements across product, growth, and operations
• Ensure data quality and consistency across tools (events, attribution, CRM tracking, affiliate tracking, etc.)
App Operations
• Own operational workflows tied to app performance and user experience
• Monitor product and engagement KPIs in Mixpanel (funnels, feature adoption, retention, etc.)
• Support ongoing optimization initiatives (tracking, event structure, attribution integrity, user flows)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on app-related operational needs and performance insights
Email Marketing / CRM (MoEngage)
• Manage and optimize CRM flows and campaigns using MoEngage
• Build and maintain lifecycle journeys including onboarding, activation, engagement, retention, and winback
• Segment audiences using behavioral + profile-based data
• A/B test messaging and sequencing and report performance
• Ensure consistent tracking and reporting across CRM campaigns and attribution sources
Platform Ownership + Operational Excellence
• Become an expert in the tools and platforms used and ensure they are integrated and working properly
• Support internal teams with data access, reporting, and operational workflows
• Help improve processes for efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across the business
Tools & Platforms You’ll Work With
• Mixpanel (app analytics + performance)
• SQL databases
• AppsFlyer (app attribution)
• Everflow (affiliate tracking)
• Retool (BI + internal tools)
• Eventbrite (events ops)
• MoEngage (CRM + email marketing)
• Custom Admin tools (matching, payments, and operations)
• Custom App Admin (app operations)
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days):
• Clean, reliable reporting across core KPIs (app, CRM, acquisition, retention, conversion)
• Improved segmentation and lifecycle campaign performance
• Strong visibility into app performance + operational workflows
• Clear recommendations implemented from analytics insights
• Smooth operation and ownership across the platforms listed above
Requirements:
Must-Have:
• Advanced SQL skills (able to write complex queries and work with multiple databases)
• Strong experience pulling, analyzing, and synthesizing data to drive business decisions
• Comfortable working across multiple platforms and managing operational workflows
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate insights into clear recommendations and execution
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Nice-to-Have:
• Experience with MoEngage or another enterprise CRM platform
• Experience with attribution tools like AppsFlyer
• Familiarity with affiliate tools like Everflow
• Experience building dashboards and internal workflows in tools like Retool
• Startup or fast-paced operations experience
