About the Role
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to support, grow and refine our busy operations at the Whitford Landfill and Energy Park in South East Auckland.  Reporting to the Regional Manager, your responsibilities will involve the operational leadership of the day to day activities of the landfill site, and associated site maintenance operations ensuring the established team continue a high level of site performance.
Our high-profile Whitford operation, is a dynamic environment and you will require a strong focus on health & safety, operational performance, team cohesion and environmental compliance. 
We’re keen to discuss this position with Operations Managers and experienced Supervisors who thrive on the challenges of proactive planning and execution, building and maintaining a culture of pride and ownership across a wide range of activities. 
Our ideal candidate will have:
• Significant experience in managing operational teams, in waste/ quarrying/ mining and or civil construction preferable
• Proven experience in managing a diverse heavy plant fleet of construction machines, co-ordination of R&M, machine capabilities & performance management.
• Financial Acumen to deliver operational performance to budget targets.
• Demonstrate strong leadership of diverse operational teams, display the interpersonal skills to support & strengthen an existing strong team and provide operational input into development planning for the site.
• Good Microsoft office working knowledge, including  data manipulation, productivity tracking and general report writing skills.
• A track record of strong safety management, awareness & knowledge of core Health & Safety legislation and expectations.
• Experience working with a range of customers & stakeholders at all levels, Proven interpersonal skills to liaise with many stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Excellent time management skills and a want to take pride & ownership of a high profile operation
