We are currently looking for an Operations Controller who will oversee the business and financial operations of the company and share responsibility for the organization’s economic and financial performance. Specifically, the position performs financial & operation analysis, develops financial planning processes, monitors & control the overall cost of the Company and designs and implements overall business plans. This position requires working knowledge of controlling disciplines, reporting, analysis, cost control & optimization, etc.

What will you do:

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Develop and manage project budgets.
• Prepare forecasts and financial projections.
• Monitor budget adherence and flag variances.
• Analyze financial performance and variances against budget.
• Develop operational budgets in collaboration with operations managers.

Cost Monitoring, Reporting & Optimization

• Track actual costs vs. budgeted costs.
• Prepare detailed cost reports for management.
• Analyze cost trends and provide insights.
• Monitor direct and indirect operational costs.
• Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget costs).
• Support cost-reduction initiatives and lean operations.
• Collaborate with project managers to control costs.
• Ensure timely and accurate cost allocation.
• Monitor subcontractor and supplier costs.

Business Performance Monitoring

• Track and analyze KPIs and operational metrics.
• Provide insights to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Identify cost drivers and operational bottlenecks.

Reporting, Decision Support & Variance Analysis

• Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Provide regular reports for operations and finance management.
• Support investment decisions with ROI and cost-benefit analysis.
• Support management with ad hoc financial analysis.
• Investigate and explain cost variances.
• Recommend corrective actions to stay within budget.

Financial Audits & Compliance

• Support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

ERP & Financial Systems Management

• Maintain and optimize cost control systems (e.g., SAP, BI, etc.).
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in financial systems.

What you need to be successful:

• A BSc in Finance, Engineering or related field.
• At least 5-6 years of relevant experience in a similar position in a multinational company.
• Proven experience in controlling, financial analysis, forecasting, investment appraisal, cost control & optimization, etc.
• Working commercial experience in a regulated environment.
• Certifications as ACCA and/or CFA will be considered a plus.
• Good command of the English language.
• Be familiar with ERP SAP (CO/PA, PS),CRM software, MS Office.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Strong time management skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, collaboration, influencing, and presentation skills.
• Result-oriented, hands-on approach, with determination and drive to achieve results to move major initiatives.
