Job Title: Remote Operations Associate (ERP & Production Support)
Job Type: Independent Contractor | Part-Time (20 hours/week, with potential to increase to full-time)
About the Role:
A growing U.S.-based manufacturing company is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Associate to support production planning, inventory coordination, and day-to-day operational workflows.
The company specializes in pallet and crate manufacturing, serving clients such as large-scale equipment manufacturers. As operations expand across multiple locations, this role will play a critical part in ensuring production workflows, inventory accuracy, and system data are properly managed through the company’s ERP system.
This role is highly process-driven and trainable, making it ideal for someone who is systems-oriented, analytical, and capable of thinking ahead in a fast-paced operations environment. The Operations Associate will work closely with internal production teams, ensuring that materials, workflows, and system records are aligned and accurate.
Key Responsibilities:
ERP System & Production Planning Support
Utilize the company’s ERP system (Palmate) to manage and support production planning
Review and interpret production orders, including required materials and components
Assign production requirements and workflows within the system
Ensure materials are properly allocated based on availability and production needs
Plan and prepare workflows in advance to support next-day and ongoing production
Inventory Coordination & Monitoring
Monitor inventory levels within the system and validate accuracy against production needs
Coordinate with on-site teams to confirm actual inventory counts when discrepancies arise
Identify shortages and trigger production or procurement requirements accordingly
Ensure proper tracking of materials used in production processes
Workflow Tracking & System Accuracy
Track production progress and ensure all activities are properly recorded in the ERP system
Review system data to confirm labor and material inputs are accurately logged
Identify missing or incorrect entries and coordinate with the team to resolve discrepancies
Perform regular system “cleanup” and validation of production records
Internal Communication & Coordination
Liaise with production staff and supervisors to confirm job progress and material needs
Communicate updates, discrepancies, and requirements clearly with on-site teams
Follow up on pending tasks, production gaps, and system inconsistencies
Support daily operational flow by ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on priorities
Process Improvement & Operational Support
Proactively identify gaps or inefficiencies in workflows and suggest improvements
Support additional operational tasks as the role evolves (e.g., procurement coordination, reporting)
Assist in maintaining organized and efficient operational processes across locations
Take ownership of assigned workflows and continuously improve execution
Qualifications & Ideal Traits:
Previous experience in operations, logistics, production support, or similar roles
Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or similar) is highly preferred
Strong understanding of inventory tracking, workflows, and operational processes
Excellent attention to detail, especially when working with numbers and system data
Strong communication skills for internal coordination (English required; Spanish is a plus)
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple workflows simultaneously

Ongoing training will be provided on internal systems and workflows
