We are actively seeking an Operations Analyst to join our Biopharmaceutical team in Dungarvan, Co Waterford.
The primary objective of this role is to ensure that sample receiving activities within the Biopharmaceutical Department are performed Right First Time and within agreed turnaround times (TATs).
The role acts as a key liaison point between clients and internal laboratory functions, supporting smooth operational execution, clear communication, and consistent compliance with regulatory requirements. You will be a point of contact for allocated client accounts, ensuring timely follow‑up, accurate documentation, and high‑quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor the status of client samples, ensuring clients are kept informed of sample status and turnaround times, while clearly communicating client requirements to laboratory teams
• Review and audit sample paperwork at defined stages to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Create and amend LIMS builds to support operational activities
• Manage laboratory consumables, including stock taking and ordering
• Support and participate in client conference calls, visits, and audits
• Attend meetings with technical and cross‑functional groups as required
• Record and document all client interactions in the project log/database
• Prepare and provide account, activity, and performance reports as required (locally or globally)
• Review data in line with relevant regulatory standards, analytical procedures, and documentation requirements
• Drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance quality and client service, and supporting the implementation of improvement actions with management
• Carry out additional tasks and duties as required to support the role and department
• Participate in the company on‑call / call‑out rota
Education, Qualifications & Knowledge
• Experience as a LIMS / ERP system user (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of GMP analytical services, including pharmaceutical chemistry and routine QC testing, is an advantage
Experience & Skills
• Strong teamworking ability.
• Proven ability to engage cross‑functionally and involve management when required
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to build strong internal and external networks
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills, including documentation control and system maintenance (LIMS)
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to understand client requirements and work with operations and business development teams to identify and communicate appropriate solutions
