What You’ll Do:

As an Operational Risk Manager, your main purpose is to own and maintain the firm’s risk resilience and governance frameworks while ensuring full compliance with requirements like DORA. You will lead critical risk identification, manage the firm-wide risk register through RCSA processes, and oversee business continuity testing to eliminate single points of failure. Additionally, you will act as a key bridge between the Risk department and the wider business, coordinating incident responses and delivering risk awareness programs to maintain a resilient operational environment.

What We’re Looking For:

Operational Resilience and Business Continuity

Own and maintain the firm's risk resilience framework, policies and standards.

Lead identification of critical operational risks and single points of failure, driving mitigating actions.

Review business continuity plans across all departments to ensure they are tested and fit for purpose.

Design and deliver resilience exercises and scenario tests, tracking outcomes and remediation.

Embed Operational Resilience and compliance obligations into the business, covering regulatory requirements including DORA, and ensuring readiness for Internal Audit review.

Lead implementation of DORA pillars: ICT Risk Management, Incident Reporting, Digital Resilience Testing and ICT Third-Party Risk Management.

Maintain policy and framework documents and support preparation of regulatory self-assessments.

Risk Governance

Supervise the governance of all risk frameworks across the Risk function, ensuring consistent application, regular review and timely escalation to relevant committees.

Own the firm-wide risk register and lead the RCSA process across all business areas.

Manage internal audit relationships and track remediation actions through to closure.

Prepare risk reporting for senior management.

Incident and Third-Party Risk

Coordinate incident response, conduct impact assessments and produce post-incident reports.

Assess operational resilience of critical suppliers and set risk requirements for new counterparty relationships.

Stakeholder Engagement

Act as the primary point of contact between Risk and the rest of the business.

Deliver risk training and awareness programmes across the firm.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Risk Management or a related field

At least 3 years of experience in an operational risk, business continuity, operational resilience or governance role within financial services.

Hands-on experience with Risk frameworks is a strong advantage.

Proven experience owning a risk register and leading RCSA processes in a regulated environment.

Experience designing and delivering resilience exercises or scenario testing workshops.

Track record of engaging and influencing stakeholders across different departments and seniority levels.

Strong analytical and documentation skills, with the ability to translate complex risk assessments into clear, well-structured reports.

Good understanding of operational risk frameworks and methodologies, including incident management, control testing and third-party risk assessment.

Comfortable working across multiple workstreams simultaneously and managing competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Ability to communicate risk concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Working Schedule: On-site - Monday to Friday; 09:00 – 17:00
