POSITION: Operational Planning Analyst (Naval Integration)
LOCATION: Tampa, FL
STATUS: Full time – Contingent Hire
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, Strategic Studies, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Experience: Minimum of 10 (ten) years’ military experience. Must possess full understanding and experience of the force management process for planning, prioritizing, and designating operations of both USMC and USN forces as well as naval integration command relationships
Citizenship and Clearance: U.S. Citizen with Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
Travel: up to 25%
Skills: Strong writing, analytical, and reading skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., National Security Affairs, Strategic Studies, International Relations, or Defense Studies) preferred.
Educational Training: Completion of Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase I or equivalent service professional military education (e.g., Command and General Staff College, Naval War College, Air Command and Staff College) highly desirable. Formal education or coursework in strategy, policy, or campaign planning (e.g., Joint Advanced Warfighting School, Marine Corps School of Advanced Warfighting) is a plus.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Provide expert level knowledge of the Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP).
Lead with expert level knowledge of the application of MCPP in the Joint arena.
Provide expert level knowledge of leading Operational Planning Teams (OPT), the Joint Staff Global Force Management Process, and the USMC’s capabilities/limitations in CENTCOM planning efforts and operations.
