Onsite Service Engineer - Sines

What you’ll achieve

As a Onsite Service Engineer, you will apply technical expertise, peer collaborating, diagnosis tools and analytical practices to resolve customer issues, taking care of our customer IT operations by delivering outstanding on-site support.

You will:

Be designated as Onsite Service Engineer  (OSE) who performs break fix activities based on Dell remote support guidance. 

• Server break fix activities:• Coordination of Dell resources to onsite support break fix activities
• Triage issues with direction from Dell remote support teams.
• Reseat, swap or replace parts.
• Upgrade firmware as needed as part of troubleshooting.
• Server testing and validation including running diagnostics, capturing and uploading logs.
• Document the Plan of Action (POA) results, logs and service reports.

• Parts Management:• Act as the primary contact to assist with Onsite Parts Service (OPS) providing management of onsite parts inventory for both inbound and outbound parts for the appropriate systems.

Essential Requirements

·        2+ years of professional experience, plus either an Associate's Degree in a technical discipline OR an equivalent combination of professional experience and education

·        Experience delivering technical Field Services supporting hardware and software at client sites

·        Experience in a customer facing role, including successfully reporting and presenting to all levels of the organization

·        Experience working in locations where client has a large, concentrated deployment of assets and experience with networking and Fiber

·        Fluent English communication

 Desirable Requirements:

·        Dell Proven Professional Specialist Level certification (1 or more: CPSD (Converged, Hyper Converged) and Server (PowerEdge)

·        Industry certifications CompTIA Certifications: Tech+, A+, Security+, Network+, etc. and Networking certifications CCNA or equivalent
