Onsite Security Guard - Wildomar, CA

Position Summary

Top General Contracting company seeking a reliable, professional Onsite Security Guard to support daily operations at an active construction site in Wildomar, CA. This role is responsible for maintaining site security by managing access control, issuing security badges, monitoring activity, and ensuring a safe environment for all personnel and visitors. The ideal candidate is attentive, organized, and comfortable using computer-based security systems.

Key Responsibilities

Access Control: Check workers, visitors, and vendors in and out of the site, ensuring proper authorization.

Badge Management: Issue, track, and collect security badges; maintain accurate logs using a computer-based badging system.

Site Monitoring: Observe and report any suspicious activity, safety hazards, or unauthorized access.

Documentation: Maintain daily security logs, incident reports, and visitor records.

Perimeter Security: Conduct periodic walkthroughs to ensure gates, fencing, and entry points remain secured.

Communication: Coordinate with site superintendents, project managers, and safety personnel as needed.

Customer Service: Provide professional assistance to employees and visitors regarding site procedures and directions.

Qualifications

Required:

Prior experience in security, access control, or a similar role

Basic computer literacy, including the ability to learn a badging/access system

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to stand, walk, and perform site checks as needed

Dependability and punctuality

Preferred:

Experience on construction or industrial sites

Valid California Guard Card

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Active construction site with outdoor elements, noise, and uneven surfaces.

May require standing for extended periods and performing routine perimeter checks.
