Job Summary: The Behavioral Interventionist Onboarding Specialist takes the lead in the onboarding processes of Behavioral Interventionist candidates in our Kansas locations, including Wichita, Topeka, Lawrence, Pittsburg, Leavenworth, and KCK. The position assists in new employee orientation and federal and state regulations and compliance.
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Hiring and Human Resources
Learn the tenets, processes and approved strategies of onboarding new BI staff at an expert level, following the requirements and policies of the agency, our contracts, and all state and federal regulations.
Conducts work assignments with the utmost confidentiality.
Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
Conducts new-employee background checks.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Assists with employee file audits to ensure various legal and accreditation compliance standards.
Assists with processing of terminations.
Assists with recruitment and interview process as needed.
Assists the Assistant Program Administrator with various compliance requests and reports.
Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
Files documents into appropriate employee physical as well as digital files.
Some travel as needed in between branches.
Assists in identifying and updating hiring process and background check requirements by state to ensure ongoing agency compliance.
Conducts biweekly orientation of BI staff.
Other duties as assigned.
