Assignment Type: Temporary Contract
This is a short-term contractor opportunity supporting on-site testing for an approximate 3-week duration in April. This assignment is project-based and will conclude at the end of the testing window with potential of overnight travel between locations. Accommodations and rental vehicle will be provided where necessary and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
About the Role
We are actively seeking seasonal independent contractors to travel to testing sites in Nevada and administer the Nevada Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBAC). Test proctors will receive training and support from the OpenEd Assessment Team and be reimbursed for mileage. This is a great opportunity for Nevada certified teachers to earn extra income! We have an immediate need to recruit proctors who live near, or are willing to travel to Las Vegas, Tonopah, Reno/Sparks, Carson City, Fernley, Yerington, Battle Mountain, and Elko.

Job Requirements:
For All Contractors (Testers & Proctors):
Completion of required training and certification prior to participation
Ability to maintain a quiet, professional setting during testing sessions
Strict adherence to test scripts and assessment protocols
Professional and clear communication with students and families

Confident administering standardized assessments in a live, school-based setting
You enjoy working with students
You’re reliable, punctual, and take responsibility for your schedule
You don’t mind taking a road trip around the state
You follow directions closely and appreciate clarity and structure

Additional Requirements for Nevada In-Person Role:
Active Nevada teaching certification (required)
Ability and willingness to travel within the state
Availability during designated in-person testing windows
Strong professionalism when representing OpenEd at physical testing sites
Testing Period is April 9- April 30 with potential of overnight travel between locations.
Accommodations and a rental vehicle will be provided and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Team & Autonomy:
As a seasonal contractor, you will work independently but are supported by a Team Lead who will help coordinate training, schedules, and test certification.
While the role is seasonal, many contractors are invited back for multiple testing windows throughout the year.
Between seasons, you will receive communication about future training and testing opportunities.

This role reports to the Proctor Operations Lead
