Position Title: House Manager
Reports To: Envision Health Residential Program Director
Location: Men’s Sober Living Home
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Status: Part-Time
Position Summary
The House Manager oversees the daily operations of Envision Health’s Men’s Sober Living Home, ensuring a safe, clean, and supportive living environment for all residents. This individual upholds Envision Health’s mission by promoting accountability, sobriety, and recovery-focused structure while maintaining compliance with residential rules and program expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Resident Supervision & Compliance
Monitor resident compliance with all program rules and expectations, including prohibition of drug and alcohol use, curfews, and visitor policies.
Conduct random drug and alcohol screenings as directed.
Verify residents are employed or volunteering a minimum of 25 hours per week and are actively engaged in SA-IOP, MAT, or other treatment services.
Ensure all residents maintain a current medication list and store medications in locked boxes.
Document incidents, violations, or behavioral concerns in accordance with Envision Health policy.
Facility Management & Cleanliness
Oversee completion of daily and weekly chores, ensuring all common areas and bedrooms are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
Conduct room and property inspections to ensure hygiene and safety standards are upheld.
Ensure proper disposal of food items per guidelines (labeling, two-day refrigerator policy, etc.).
Address minor maintenance issues or report them to Envision Health’s facilities department.
Resident Support & Engagement
Promote a positive and respectful living environment where residents feel supported in their recovery.
Facilitate mandatory house meetings and communicate updates, expectations, and concerns.
Mediate resident conflicts, encouraging resolution through mutual respect and communication before escalating to supervisory staff.
Serve as a liaison between residents and Envision Health clinical staff for issues related to recovery progress, employment, or compliance.
Administrative & Reporting Duties
Maintain daily logs and incident reports documenting resident attendance, chores, employment verification, and program engagement.
Collect rent payments or community service documentation by the 5th of each month.
Notify the Residential Program Director of residents who plan to move out, violate policy, or require intervention.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA and Envision Health documentation standards.
Safety & Security
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including no firearms or weapons on the premises.
Monitor all entry/exit activity, enforcing visitor restrictions and curfew policies.
Ensure awareness of fire safety and emergency procedures, reporting any hazards immediately.
Confirm all resident vehicles are legally registered and in compliance with house policy.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of sobriety and active participation in a recovery community preferred.
Experience in residential, behavioral health, or recovery housing settings strongly preferred.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to model professionalism, empathy, and leadership in a recovery-based environment.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.
