Our Profile
In 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN has acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown.
To ensure the achievement of this large-scale project, G Mining Ventures is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of:
Talent Acquisition Lead
The Talent Acquisition Lead will drive our recruitment efforts, talent acquisition strategies, and ensure a seamless hiring process within the company. The Lead will focus on candidate sourcing, employer branding and aligning talent acquisition goals with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Implement Recruitment Strategies:
Design and execute comprehensive recruitment plans to attract high-quality candidates across various levels and departments.
Team Leadership:
Oversee and mentor the recruitment team, providing guidance and support in sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
Candidate Sourcing:
Utilize diverse sourcing methods, including social media, job boards, networking events, and employee referrals, to build a robust talent pipeline.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment solutions that meet departmental goals.
Interview and Selection Process:
Manage the interview process, ensuring a positive candidate experience while maintaining high standards for candidate assessment.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
Analyze recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of hiring strategies and make recommendations for improvement.
Employer Branding:
Promote the company’s employer brand through various channels, highlighting our culture, values, and opportunities for professional growth.
Compliance and Best Practices:
Ensure adherence to all legal and ethical recruitment practices, maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Qualifications/Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related
5 + years in Recruitment with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Strong understanding of various recruitment methods and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Familiarity with Talent Acquisition and HR Software
Ability to manage resources and organize work plans.
Highly independent.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset.
Working Conditions
Position based in Georgetown Office
Work Schedule – Monday to Friday
