In 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN has acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown.
To ensure the achievement of this large-scale project, G Mining Ventures is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of:
QAQC Foreman.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise QAQC activities across all construction areas and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
Review, validate, and coordinate completion of Inspection and Test Records (ITRs), ensuring full accuracy, signatures, and traceability.
Conduct field inspections and support resolution of nonconformities with discipline superintendents, engineering, and contractors.
Support the implementation and maintenance of QAQC procedures, inspection plans, and documentation standards.
Ensure proper recordkeeping and timely upload of quality documentation into the company’s document management system.
Participate in quality walkdowns, punch list management, deficiency tracking, and mechanical completion readiness.
Support preparation of QAQC reports, KPIs, and progress updates.
Serve as QAQC point of contact onsite during the Superintendent’s home rotation, maintaining alignment with established quality processes.
Qualifications/Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Production, or related).
Experience in QAQC or quality supervision on large-scale, multidisciplinary construction projects.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction codes.
Experience with ITRs, inspection workflows, test packs, punch lists, and turnover documentation.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with structured document control/workflow systems.
Advanced English (spoken and written).
Availability to work in remote areas under extended rotation schedules.
3-5 years of experience in engineering, preferably in mining and construction quality assurance or quality management systems.
Postgraduate specialization in Quality Engineering, Construction Quality, or related fields.
Experience in mining, process-plant construction, or industrial projects.
Experience with QAQC practices such as mechanical completion, walkdowns, and turnover packages.
English proficiency (spoken and written).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills across multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
Diligence, sense of ownership, and commitment to quality standards.
Organizational skills and initiative-taking identification of issues and improvements.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple fronts in dynamic construction environments.
Resilience and adaptability to remote sites and long-work rotations, maintaining consistent performance.

Working Conditions
Work Schedule – 23 days on/19 days Off
