In 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN has acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown.
To ensure the achievement of this large-scale project, G Mining Ventures is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of:
QAQC Analyst.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in monitoring daily QAQC tasks across construction areas.
Perform field checks and basic inspections using established QAQC checklists under the supervision of senior QAQC staff.
Review Inspection and Test Records (ITRs) for completeness, signatures, correct attachments, and basic compliance with project requirements.
Maintain documentation, traceability, and proper upload of records into the company’s document management system.
Support quality walkdowns, punch list updates, deficiency tracking, and turnover preparation.
Collaborate with construction supervisors, engineering, and contractors to clarify documentation needs and follow up on outstanding records.
Assist in preparing QAQC reports, summaries, and data inputs for KPIs.
Work effectively with multinational and multidisciplinary teams in a remote camp environment.
Qualifications/Skills and Experience
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related) OR Completed Technical Diploma in Construction, Civil Engineering Technician, Electrical Technician, Mechanical Technician, Instrumentation, or related fields.
Experience in construction (any discipline: civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, etc.).
Ability to understand basic engineering drawings and QAQC checklists.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
2 years of experience in construction, preferably in mining or other multidisciplinary projects.
Experience in construction quality control or inspection activities.
Experience in multidisciplinary construction environments.
Familiarity with structured documentation workflows or document control systems.
Advanced Excel skills (filters, pivot tables, basic formulas, formatting).
Knowledge of construction safety practices and permit-to-work environments.
Diligence and responsibility for ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
Ability to work effectively in remote areas and rotation schedules.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work within multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
Adaptability, willingness to learn, and an initiative-taking approach to improving processes.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and adherence to company values.
Working Conditions
Work Schedule – 14 days on/7 days Off
