Ashtead Technology has an opportunity for an Offshore / Workshop Technician to join our team and support our Lifting, Pulling and Deployment operations in Houston. You will primarily work with top deck equipment, keeping our it running safely, reliably, and ready for rental. You’ll be responsible for diagnostics, rebuilds, and offshore support, ensuring critical operations run smoothly every day.
What you'll be doing:
Prepare, inspect and test equipment for hire, ensuring it is fully functional, complete, correctly documented and professionally presented.
Diagnose, maintain, rebuild and repair hydraulic and pneumatic tools in line with manufacturer specifications.
Carry out preventative maintenance and off-hire inspections, documenting any missing or damaged equipment.
Complete work orders in the ERP system and create parts lists required for repairs.
Package and secure equipment for transport and ensure all equipment is stored safely and correctly.
Operate vehicles and equipment for diagnostics, deliveries and operational support when required.
Deliver parts and equipment to customers and support offshore or dockside activities as required.
What experience you'll bring:
Strong mechanical background with qualification in Mechanical/Hydraulic discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Track record of experience in a Mechanical role undertaking repair, maintenance and testing of
mechanical equipment, preferably in a subsea environment.
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance/service.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong problem solving capabilities.
Previous experience working offshore.
