About Us
UMO is a stealth-mode FinTech venture aiming to evolve the way people experience money by building a unified, AI-powered, yet deeply human modern money platform across fiat, crypto, and investments - subject to regulatory approvals. The platform is being designed to break down traditional barriers to money across access, assets, and experience, enabling simpler, more adaptive ways for people to interact with financial services.
We are currently developing our MVP and navigating licensing requirements, with a multidisciplinary team of 100+ people representing 20+ nationalities. With our headquarters in the UAE and offices in Portugal and Ukraine, we are united behind a shared ambition and a relentless focus on serving our customers.
About the Role
We are looking for a commercially driven payments expert to build and scale our global partner network across banking, EMIs, PSPs, card issuing, liquidity providers, and alternative payment rails. This role is critical to enabling our product capabilities, geographic expansion, and transaction flows.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership Development
Identify, source, and onboard payment partners globally (EMIs, PSPs, acquirers, issuers, liquidity providers)
Build relationships across offshore and international markets
Structure and negotiate commercial agreements
Infrastructure & Use Case Design
Understand and design payment flows across:
Card issuing / acquiring
Crypto-fiat rails
High-risk transaction processing
Cross-border payments
Match business needs with the right partners
Market Intelligence
Stay deeply informed on payment trends, providers, and regulatory shifts
Bring insights on:
New providers
Better pricing
Faster routes
Risk-friendly partners
Network Building
Leverage and continuously grow personal network
Represent the company at industry events (Money20/20, SIGMA, etc.)
Build inbound deal flow
Internal Collaboration
Work closely with Product, Compliance, and Finance
Align partnerships with licensing and regulatory strategy
Requirements
5–10+ years in payments / fintech / crypto
Strong network across EMIs, PSPs, banks, WASPs
Deep understanding of:
Payment flows
Cross-border infrastructure
High-risk processing
Proven experience closing partnerships
Highly commercial mindset
Comfortable operating in ambiguous / fast-moving environments
Active presence in industry ecosystem (events, relationships)
