Officer, Interline Operations (Contract)

SUMMARY

We are looking for fast-readers and do-ers with a strong attention to detail. We transport cargo every day to over >100 stations across Asia on behalf of our customers, and coordinate with many Cargo Terminal Operators (CTOs). We rely heavily on CTOs and ground handlers to ensure we can maximize our ability to sell and transport cargo. To ensure the reliability of CTOs and ground handlers, we maintain strong communication with Team Leaders who will be overseeing the air operations team on a daily basis. They will be the main people advising the management on on-the-ground feedback from the customers and the operations teams. Their input is critical to ensure we consistently improve the quality and standard of service.

A DAY IN A LIFE

As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

• Manage and coordinate and oversee all aspects of cargo operations for air freight, including loading, unloading, and handling of shipments.
• Ensure day to day manpower planning for loading and unloading of the cargo are sufficient.
• Ensure all documentation, such as invoices, AWB and other related documents for both outbound and inbound shipments are completed accurately and in a timely manner and forwarded to any relevant parties.
• Verify weights and dimensions of cargo, keeping records of your findings.
• Ensure all the requirements meet for dangerous or controlled goods and ensure to have proper export controlled permits, licenses etc by AWB level.
• To proactively monitor all delivery movement from origin to destination across our different service types.
• Ensuring all shipment transition from one place to another place remain within SLA
• Monitor and ensure sorting hub SLAs are achieved.
• Responsible for sorting and calculating the lodgement of the parcel onto the truck to ensure the volume and time meet requirement
• Ensuring the parcel is sorted with accuracy and within the given time range
• Responsible for the accuracy of the parcel handover in/out of hubs and smooth in/outbound flows
• Responsible for checking size and weight for every parcel.
• Monitor all parcels that are created by customers and make sure our driver, rider or 3PL pick up and deliver to the Teleport warehouse on time.
• Coordinate daily interline cargo movements with partner airlines, ensuring timely and accurate transfer of shipments.
• Monitor interline shipment flows and resolve any irregularities or discrepancies proactively.
• Maintain effective communication with interline carriers, internal teams (e.g., sales, operations, finance), and ground handling agents.
• Keep updated records and documentation related to interline shipments and agreements.
• Ensure all activities are compliant with applicable safety, security, and regulatory standards.
• Provide support and assistance to other departments for cargo-related matters as needed.

Requirements:
• Strong communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills - ability to speak English fluently
• Able to operate computer programmes such as microsoft office
• Working experience with standard data-entry software
• Meticulous with work - double checking for accuracy of data entry
