Officer, Ground Operations (6 months contract)

We are looking for fast-readers and do-ers with a strong attention to detail. You will be a great fit if you have experience utilizing various technology applications for data-entry purposes. This role will be on a contract basis and based out of our offices in Kuala Lumpur Air Cargo Terminal (around the airport premises). You will need to work on shift and report to the Executive of Ground OPS on duty.

A DAY IN A LIFE

As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

● Ensure day to day manpower planning for loading and unloading of the cargo are sufficient.

● Work with CTO to ensure the priority cargo are as followed for both export and import.

● Responsible for preparing the relevant documents i.e. AWB, Lot Label, Control Form etc for cargo acceptance process.

● Verify weights and dimensions of cargo, keeping records of your findings.

● Deal with CTO and Air Operation on any special arrangements for transporting delicate cargoes, such as livestock, food and medical supplies

● Monitor outbound/inbound traffic activities for the load quality and accuracy.

● Interact, liaise and manage the relationship with other CTO, Line Haul Truck, and Vendors to achieve the efficiency in cargo retrieval and submission process.

● Some light warehouse duties such as moving boxes and pallets with dolly.

Requirements:
SKILLS

These are minimum-requirement skills and a ‘must-have’ for the role:

● Strong communication skills

● Strong interpersonal skills - ability to speak Bahasa Malaysia and English fluently

● Able to operate computer programmes such as microsoft office

● Working experience with standard data-entry softwares

● Meticulous with work - double checking for accuracy of data entry

These are skills that are ‘nice-to-have’ and will make you stand-out in the job application:

● Previous experience in forwarding agent experience

● Wants to develop capabilities/expertise in the logistics industry
