Job Description
At Catch Design, we help some of New Zealand’s most recognised brands create meaningful, inclusive, and impactful digital experiences. We’re looking for an Office Manager to join our Wellington team—someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and brings real energy to the workplace.
This is a role for someone who loves being at the centre of things. You’ll keep the office running smoothly day to day, while also creating an environment where people feel welcomed, supported, and genuinely enjoy coming to work. This is an office-based role with standard working hours of 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday. We support flexibility where it works for the role and the team, with any additional flexibility arranged as needed.
What you’ll do
You’ll be working within a fast-paced, creative digital agency environment, where no two days are the same. It’s an energetic, collaborative space—full of ideas, conversations, and momentum—where your role is key to keeping everything running smoothly while helping create a workplace people genuinely enjoy being part of.
You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the office and the overall team experience—making sure everything works as it should, and elevating it where it matters.
You will:
• Keep the office looking and running smoothly—maintaining a clean, organised, and well-stocked environment
• Coordinate meeting spaces, catering, and hospitality so everything is ready and runs seamlessly
• Be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, creating a vibrant, warm and professional experience
• Manage suppliers, contractors, and building relationships to keep everything operating efficiently
• Handle office admin, including deliveries, expenses, scheduling, and general coordination
• Support the onboarding of new team members and help them feel set up and welcome from day one
• Organise and support team events, celebrations, and cultural moments
• Contribute to wellbeing, sustainability, and culture initiatives across the team
• Provide coordination support to senior leadership where needed
• Keep on top of health, safety, and basic IT support to ensure everything runs without friction
• Act as Fire Warden and First Aider (training provided)
• Identify opportunities to improve how the office operates and how the team experiences it.
Requirements:
You must already be based in New Zealand and available to work on-site from our Wellington office in an office-based role, with standard working hours of 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday.
You’ll bring:
• A sense of humour, energy, and a warm, approachable style
• Experience in an office coordination, administration, EA, or similar role
• Exceptional organisational skills and a strong eye for detail
• Curiosity and confidence in using AI tools to work smarter, improve efficiency, and bring fresh thinking to everyday tasks
• A proactive, can-do mindset—you spot what needs doing and take ownership
• Confidence working in a client-facing environment with professionalism and warmth
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the team
• The ability to juggle multiple priorities while keeping things running smoothly
• Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
And importantly, you bring a bit of spark. You care about the little things, you notice what others don’t, and you take pride in creating an environment people genuinely enjoy being part of.
Most importantly, you’ll embody Catch’s mission: Do good by our team, do good by our clients, and deliver great work.
Benefits:
At Catch, we love what we do and value balance, well-being, and growth. Here’s what you’ll get:
• Flexibility by arrangement, where it works for the role and the team
• 4 weeks annual leave + 5 “Happy days” per year
• Your birthday off
• Full healthcare insurance—including dental and optical, wellness leave, and regular well-being initiatives
• Professional growth—personalised development, learning lunches, and structured career progression
• Team culture—central city offices, great snacks, company-wide events.
Ready to be the person who keeps things running and makes the office a place people genuinely love coming to? Apply now.
To apply, we need the following:
• A cover letter introducing yourself and telling us why you’d love this role and what great office culture means to you.
• An up-to-date CV outlining your relevant experience.
• At least two references we can contact—direct managers or leads from your recent roles. We won’t call them until things get serious between us... promise.
