About Your Role
CMTS is seeking a highly motivated Office Engineer I to support construction management operations on large-scale infrastructure projects in Los Angeles, CA. This role is responsible for coordinating submittals, RFIs, document control, and providing administrative and technical support to the project management team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in active construction environments, preferably on aviation or large capital projects.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required
What You’ll Need to Get the Job Done
Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably on airport or large infrastructure projects
Experience supporting projects exceeding $50 million in value
Familiarity with delivery methods including Design-Bid-Build, CMAR, and Design-Build
Strong technical and construction background in active/operational environments
Knowledge of design and construction contracting practices and methodologies
Experience with full project lifecycle from planning and design through construction and closeout
Ability to maintain strong working relationships with project stakeholders
What Will Make You Stand Out
Experience with CAD or Revit
Certifications such as AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, or AICP
What You’ll Do
Manage submittal and RFI processes, including tracking, distribution, and documentation
Maintain logs and input data into Prolog or similar PMIS systems
Perform document control and ensure accurate filing (electronic and hard copy)
Coordinate with contractors to ensure timely posting and distribution of drawings
Compile review comments, obtain approvals, and issue responses to contractors
Prepare reports, presentations, and meeting materials
Attend project meetings, document minutes, and maintain action logs
Support project team with administrative and expediting functions

Salary Requirements
$107,000 – $114,000 annually
