Office Assistant - Receptionist

NASA Federal Credit Union is looking for an Office Assistant/Receptionist who will be located at our headquarters in Upper Marlboro, MD. This is a highly visible role and requires the incumbent to have excellent communication skills and experience in a front desk/reception role. This position is full time onsite. The person in this position will receive and welcome visitors, notify employees of visitors, and issue appropriate badges to visitors; assist with various Physical Security, and Retail Services assignments and projects, and communicate effectively to stakeholders inside and outside the organization both verbally and in writing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following with other duties as assigned.:
• Remains cognizant of and adheres to Credit Union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
• Welcomes visitors, determines the nature of their business, issues badges, and maintains the visitor log.
• Maintains an awareness of activity in the parking lot and outside areas and notifies appropriate staff of unusual activity.
• Assists Retail Services with administrative duties, including mail and payment processing, scanning, and filing documents in electronic file storage systems.
• Assists Retail Services with new account application reviews.
• Assists with access control database management, employee access / identification badge issuance and authorized access privilege modifications.
• Processes returned mail service events in accordance with organization procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience::
• One year of relevant experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to use computer-based systems
• Experience with Symitar or other financial institution core account systems is preferred
