In collaboration with the co-director, actively contribute to the coordination of the patient engagement antennae of the Quebec Strategy for Patient Oriented Research (SPOR) platform at McGill University, providing support to clinicians and researchers.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Support the co-director and Principal Investigator in implementing the "patient engagement" action plan by identifying opportunities for collaborations, organizing and leading the first meetings with stakeholders, preparing and delivering presentations and advertising the SPOR services;
• Under the leadership of the co-director, oversee the organizing of the patient engagement antenna of the SPOR SUPPORT unit at McGill University;
• Assist the SPOR lead in implementing the strategy for patient-oriented research. The incumbent will play an important role in providing support to researchers who need help integrating patient partners by taking on various projects including consultations, development of tools and training, as well as actively participate in SPOR-initiated projects;
• Respond to requests for program support from researchers and clinicians;
• Recruit new patient partners;
• Maintain roaster of existing patient partners;
• Provide guidance and support to researchers and clinicians aiming to include patience experience in their programs by directing them to training modules, organizing and/or providing specific consultations and helping recruit patients with optimal profiles;
• Provide training to the collaborators;
• Manage a budget reserved for compensating patient partners for their participation in the research projects;
• Participate in SPOR director meetings.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
• Fully bilingual (English/French), written and oral
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Discretion and experience working with sensitive data
• Budget management experience
• Previous patient partner experience is an asset

Knowledge of English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #4 on a scale of 0-4.
