We are seeking a qualified and engaging instructor to deliver courses within the Office Administration Certificate program. This position is offered as a fixed-term contract for the upcoming cohort, with the possibility of renewal if additional cohorts are scheduled.
The instructor will be responsible for delivering course content, facilitating learning activities, assessing student performance, and supporting students in developing practical office administration skills aligned with program learning outcomes.
Courses to be Delivered:
Customer Service and Communication (20 hours)
Dates: April 20 – April 24, 2026
Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Accounting Fundamentals I (40 hours)
Note: This course must be taught by an instructor with a diploma or higher credential in Accounting or a related financial field, along with relevant professional experience.
Dates: April 27 – May 8, 2026
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Administrative Procedures (40 hours)
Dates: May 11 – May 25, 2026
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Office Skills (40 hours)
Dates: May 26 – June 8, 2026
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Career Preparation (20 hours)
Dates: June 9 – June 15, 2026
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Office Simulation (30 hours)
Dates: June 16 – June 25, 2026
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective instruction in accordance with the program curriculum
Prepare and facilitate lectures, activities, and practical exercises
Evaluate student assignments, assessments, and participation
Provide academic guidance and feedback to students
Maintain accurate records of attendance and grades
Ensure course delivery aligns with institutional and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:
A post-secondary credential (certificate, diploma, or degree) in Office Administration, Business Operations, or a related field and a minimum of two years of relevant work experience, OR
Ten years of relevant occupational experience in office administration, business operations, or related fields.
Previous teaching or training experience in adult education or post-secondary environments is considered an asset.
Additional Requirement for Accounting Fundamentals I:
To teach Accounting Fundamentals I, the instructor must hold a diploma or higher credential in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related financial field, along with relevant professional experience.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of office administration practices and procedures
Familiarity with office software tools
Excellent communication and classroom facilitation skills
Ability to support diverse learners and foster an inclusive learning environment
Contract Details:
This position is offered as a fixed-term contract from April to June 2026, with the possibility of renewal should additional cohorts be scheduled.
