About the Role:
Cobalt Construction is seeking a full-time Level 3 First Aid Attendant to support active road construction and infrastructure projects across the Yukon. This position is field-based and often located in remote work camps. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe work environment by providing emergency medical response and supporting site safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide on-site emergency medical care in accordance with Yukon Workers’ Safety and Compensation Board (WSCB) requirements
-Maintain and manage a fully equipped Level 3 First Aid station and medical supplies
-Respond to workplace incidents, injuries, and medical emergencies
-Complete detailed incident reports and treatment documentation
-Participate in daily toolbox meetings, safety orientations, and emergency response drills
-Coordinate evacuations and liaise with emergency services when required
-Promote a safety-first culture and act as a resource for workers onsite
-Assist with site safety inspections and hazard identification as needed
-Travel between project sites as required
Qualifications & Requirements:
-Valid and current Occupational First Aid Level 3 (OFA 3) certification from a recognized provider
-Previous experience in construction, mining, or industrial worksites preferred
-Knowledge of Yukon Occupational Health & Safety regulations and remote emergency response protocols
-Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with clean abstract
-Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
-Ability to work long hours in remote camps and varying weather conditions
-Physically capable of working in rugged terrain and outdoor environments
Work Schedule & Details:
-Full-time seasonal, project-based work
-Rotation schedule dependent on project needs
-Camp accommodations and meals provided when working at remote sites
-PPE provided (excluding personal footwear)
