About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Odoo Implementer to own end-to-end ERP/CRM rollouts—discovery, solution design, configuration, light customization, integrations, data migration, testing, training, and post-go-live support. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to turn requirements into reliable Odoo solutions that scale.
Responsibilities
• Discovery & Solution Design
• Run workshops, map “as-is” processes, design “to-be” flows across modules (CRM, Sales, Inventory, Accounting, Purchase, HR, Projects, Helpdesk, Marketing).
• Produce BRDs, solution blueprints, data models, and a phased implementation plan.
• Configuration & Custoization
• Configure Odoo settings, companies, warehouses, accounting chart/taxes, price lists, routes, UoM, fiscal positions, email templates.
• Create views, actions, menus, security (ACLs/record rules), server actions, automated actions.
• Build reports (QWeb/PDF, Excel exports) and dashboards; minor Python/XML/QWeb tweaks; coordinate heavier dev with engineers.
• Integrations
• Connect Odoo with third-party systems (payment gateways, e-commerce, chat/telephony, BI, DMS) via REST/RPC, webhooks, or Odoo connectors.
• Define API contracts, authentication, error handling, and monitor sync jobs.
• Data Migration
• Plan and execute ETL from legacy systems (customers, products, stock, COA, open balances, open POs/SOs, vendors).
• Validate with stakeholders; ensure reconciliation and audit trails.
• Testing & Go-Live
• Author test cases, run SIT/UAT, manage defects; prepare cutover plans and rollback.
• Train end users and power users; deliver SOPs/videos and quick-reference guides.
• Support & Continuous Improvement
• Monitor KPIs, optimize performance (workers, caching, crons), handle change requests, and maintain documentation.
Requirements:
• 3–6+ years implementing Odoo (v13–v17+) across multiple modules.
• Solid knowledge of Odoo ORM, models, views, QWeb, security (ACLs/record rules), server/automated actions, scheduled jobs.
• Hands-on with PostgreSQL, basic Python, XML/QWeb; comfortable reading logs and tracing server actions.
• Experience with data migration (CSV/ETL), chart of accounts/tax setup, and multi-company/multi-currency.
• Familiarity with APIs (REST/RPC), integration patterns, and error-resilient syncs.
• Strong business analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management; fluent English.
Nice to Have
• OCA modules, Studio, Owl/JS widgets, Odoo.sh or on-prem (Linux, Nginx, workers, long-polling, backups).
• Domain experience in Sales/CRM, Inventory/WMS, Accounting, or Manufacturing/BoM/MRP.
• BI/reporting (Power BI/Metabase), SSO (OAuth/SAML), WhatsApp/SMS/telephony connectors.
• Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban), Jira/ClickUp, Git.
• Key Deliverables (first 90 days)
• Signed solution blueprint, migration plan, and test plan.
• Configured sandboxes for priority modules; migrated master data (items, partners, COA).
• UAT completed for Phase 1; go-live runbook + training assets.
• Post-go-live hypercare with a prioritized enhancements backlog.
